Exciting. Moving. Encouraging.
Paul Schneider, the "Preacher of Buchenwald", was only 41 years old and was murdered by Nazis in the Buchenwald concentration camp in 1939. Born in Pferdsfeld am Soonwald in 1897, he moved with his parents to Hochelheim (now Hüttenberg, Hesse) in 1910, studied theology and was then a pastor in Hüttenberg and later in Dickenschied (Hunsrück).
The composer, musician and doctor Peter Menger from Giessen has created a musical about the pastor couple Paul and Margarete Schneider that brings their life's work, their story and their important and still relevant message to life for our generation. The occasion is the 125th birthday of Paul Schneider on 29.8.2022. The project is supported and organized by the association sdg (soli deo gloria) e.V.
The musical is a musical "multi-generational project" for children, young people and adults. The premiere took place on July 01, 2022 in Hüttenberg.
