Although the 114-kilometre trail is higher than anywhere else in the Palatinate, it can also be tackled in a very relaxed manner, as there are plenty of opportunities to take a break.
For example in Meisenheimwhich enchants visitors with its romantic old town and numerous half-timbered houses. In tranquil Rockenhausen, the tower clock museum will make you forget the time. Between the short ascents and descents, there are spectacular views of the surrounding countryside.
Whether from the castle ruins of Alt- and Neuwolfstein, the Juché viewpoint near Meisenheim, the Moschellandsburg ruins or the Königstuhl on the Donnersberg, which at 687 meters marks the highest point of the route: the views are as numerous as they are heavenly!
